The meeting is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. (ET), and a live video stream will be available.CUNA testified at last month’s NCUA budget briefing, and followed the presentation up with a letter containing additional budget suggestions.NCUA Chairman J. Mark McWatters said the agency would carefully review all comments, but the agency will have sole discretion in creating the budget.The agency also released proposed changes to the OTR, which is taken from the share insurance fund to cover insurance-related expenses, earlier this year.CUNA, commenting on the changes, said the proposal represents an approach that will lead to more “fair and consistent assessments.”
Connersville, In. — A Connersville woman was arrested on three felony charges this afternoon after a two month investigation by Indiana State Police detectives. The investigation began in September after an 18-year-old victim told police she had purchased a car from a local woman who was refusing to produce a title.The investigation determined the Heidi Davidson, age 47 of Connersville, had sold a vehicle which she had purchased, but not paid for, to the 18-year-old victim. She then allegedly forged bank documents to make it appear she had paid the vehicle off prior to selling it.As a result of the investigation, Davidson was arrested on a Fayette County warrant for fraud on a financial institution; forgery and theft. Davidson was taken to the Fayette County Jail.

The Argonia vs. Norwich girls game is no exception.Argonia beat host South Barber 48-44 Friday night in the Class 1A- Div. II sub-state. Norwich beat Attica 45-28.The two teams have played once this season with Norwich winning over Argonia in the Border-Queen Tournament in December.This marks the second time the two schools have played in a sub-state championship this year. So Friday evening wasn’t a total loss of an evening …South Haven vs. Caldwell girls – 6 p.m. tonight The last time these two teams played, Caldwell would beat South Haven to force a five-way tie in the South-Central Border League Championship.The two teams will play one another again in an all Sumner County showdown in Udall. The winner advances to state. The other stays home.In a game that was meant to be close, was not so much as South Haven beat Cedar Vale-Dexter 52-39 on Friday night in the semifinals. Earlier in the evening, Caldwell would eke out a squeaker against St. Paul 41-40.The two teams split during the regular season.Sumner Newscow will cover the game live. Conway Springs now battles Garden Plain Saturday evening at 6 p.m. in its home sub-state. Garden Plain beat Douglass 50-32. The Owls are 21-1 on the season.Conway Springs girls have played Garden Plain tough this season. The Owls won 45-42 at Garden Plain and 41-32 in Conway Springs. South Haven vs. Udall boys – 7:30 p.m. It will be the third consecutive time South Haven and Udall will play for the sub-state basketball championship. The past two times, the winner went on to finish second place in the Class 1A- Division 1 state basketball tournament.This will be the ultimate grudge match. Both teams are senior laden.South Haven boys advanced with a 51-32 victory over Caldwell in the semifinals Friday. Udall beat St. Paul 81-75.The Cardinal boys have beaten Udall during the regular season all three times. However, the last time these two teams played in the semifinals of the South-Central Border League tournament, South Haven won 66-63 in a squeaker.With it being in Udall’s gymnasium this could be a barnburner of mammoth proportions. Mangaluru (Karna), Jul 7 (PTI) In the second such instance in Karnataka this week, Deputy Superintendent of Police M K Ganapati of this city allegedly committed suicide in Madikeri today.Ganapti (51) was found hanging from the ceiling fan in a room at a lodge in Madikeri where he had gone today, police said.He left behind a purported suicide note, they said, adding the reason for him taking the extreme step was not clear.The DySP, in an interview to a local news channel in Madikeri, alleged that a politician and higher police officials were harrassing him, police said.Reacting to the incident, Opposition leader in the Assembly Jagadish Shettar said that BJP would take up the issue in the session and launch a protest, demanding the resignation of guilty police officials and the politician.Ganapati was a native of Munjarayapattana, Siddhapur near Madikeri and belonged to the 1991 batch. He was a former sportsman and entered service through the sports quota.On July 5, the body of DySP of Chikkamagaluru sub-division Kallappa Handibag (35), accused of kidnapping a person for ransom, was found hanging in his father-in-laws home at Murgod in Belagavi district.In another case, former DSP Anupama Shenoy had resigned her post last month over alleged interference in her work by a minister.She had written the womens commission accusing Ballari Superintendent of Police R Chetan of harassing her by succumbing to political pressure.
