President seeks proposals to address resolution

The President said that he is prepared, if required, to setup sub-committees to deal with each issue which may arise from the proposals submitted by the political parties. President Maithripala Sirisena, on Thursday, urged political party leaders to submit proposals to address the resolution on Sri Lanka adopted by the UN Human Rights Council.Speaking to political party leaders and representatives, the President said that while it is easy to be critical of things, it will be more productive if proposals are submitted as solutions to face what is at hand. The President was speaking at an all-party meeting to ascertain opinions of the leaders of political parties about how the Sri Lankan government should act regarding the resolution adopted in Geneva.Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, Opposition Leader R.
